When the Seeds You Forgot Start to Bloom – A Faith-Filled Wake-Up Call

Have you ever had something bloom in your life that you didn’t even remember planting? That was me—barefoot in the grass, sipping lemon water, just trying to catch a breath. And there they were… little wheat stalks, swaying in the breeze.

And just like that, God whispered:
“I grow what you sow in faith—even when you forget.”

🌾 The Wheat I Never Meant to Grow

Last spring, I planted a small patch of wheat with my kids. Nothing big—just a fun little homestead experiment. We cut it down, cleaned up, and honestly forgot about it.

But this spring? I walked out and wheat was popping up all over the lawn—bold, beautiful, growing in places we hadn’t intentionally sown.

That moment stopped me. It wasn’t about the wheat anymore. It was about the seeds I had sown and left behind. And how God was still working with them.

🌟 A Friend’s Miracle — and a Son’s Softened Heart

Just days later, a close friend told me something that gave me chills. She’d gone in for a routine scan—but due to a mix-up, they did the wrong test. Except… it wasn’t wrong. It revealed something serious that would’ve been missed.

She knew it was Jesus.

But what really got me? When she shared it with her adult son—who’s drifted from faith—he listened. He didn’t shut down. That miracle planted something in him, too.

📖 Biblical Reflection: From Seeds to Surprise Harvests

This isn’t just my story. Jesus told us in Mark 4:8:

“Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times.”

And Paul echoed it in 1 Corinthians 3:6-7:

“I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.”

These aren’t just cute metaphors. They’re the truth of faith, motherhood, and miracles. We plant in tears, in prayer, in quiet hope—and God brings the growth.

💛 What This Means for Us Moms

If you’re a mama in the thick of it, this is for you. You’re nursing a toddler. You’re praying for a prodigal. You’re whispering scriptures in the dark while everyone else is asleep.

You are sowing seeds.
Even when no one sees it.
Even when you forget.

That bedtime Bible story, that prayer whispered through tears, that gentle correction after a tantrum… they matter. They’re seeds. And God is not just watching—He’s working.

📝 Real-Life Reflection:

Here’s what I want to ask you:
What seeds have you been planting lately—without even realizing it?
And what if the very thing you feel forgotten in… is about to bloom?

Father, thank You for the seeds You’ve placed in our hands. Help us to plant in faith and trust that You are always working, even when we don’t see growth yet. Remind us that nothing sown in obedience is ever wasted.
