Letting Go & Leaning In
Turning 40 feels like standing at a crossroads—a mix of reflection, rediscovery, and hope. In my latest podcast series, Finding Myself at 40, I explore the emotional transitions that come with motherhood, identity, and embracing change. If you’ve ever felt the bittersweet ache of moving into a new season, this series is for you.
The Transition of Motherhood
In the first episode, I share the emotional journey of watching my children grow older. Letting go of the baby years brought unexpected grief—a strange, quiet ache—but also a reminder that every season holds new beauty.
“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1
We aren’t meant to stay in one stage forever. God calls us to move forward, to grow, and to trust that He is with us through every transition.
The Weight of Letting Go
In Episode 2, I reflect on the deep emotional connection formed through nursing and co-sleeping with my youngest. These quiet, sacred moments are gifts, but stepping away from them brought a wave of emotions I wasn’t expecting.
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7
Letting go doesn’t mean losing love. It means shifting, adapting, and trusting that the bonds we’ve built will remain strong.
A Prayer for the Transitioning Mom
Lord, as I step into this new season, help me embrace change with an open heart. Comfort me in moments of grief, remind me of the beauty ahead, and give me the strength to rediscover who I am beyond motherhood. Amen.
